Job Description

A 330-bed hospital in Southern California is actively seeking an experienced Nurse Director of Quality Services. This nonprofit medical center serves a large population in southern Orange County in northern San Diego County. The Clinical Director of Hospital Quality will report to the Chief Medical Officer and oversee multiple departments.

The Nurse Director of Quality Services will oversee:
Survey Readiness and Accreditation
Infection Control

Patient Safety
Risk Management
Performance Improvement

The Quality Resources department is composed of seven FTEs. The Nurse Director of Quality Services will actively participate in hospital committees addressing issues related to Quality, Patient Safety, Clinical risk, Regulatory, Patient Satisfaction and Infection Control. This important healthcare leadership position will work with other area professionals and work toward identifying opportunities to improve patient outcomes and quality metrics. A keen understanding of quality assurance and performance improvement programs and implementation of standard operation procedures will ensure a smooth transition into this role.

The Hospital Quality Improvement Director will have oversight of core measures, meaningful use metrics, leapfrog ratings, HCAHPS, CMS star ratings and other state and federal regulatory bodies.
