As a Software Engineer you will participate in development and operations of projects at Akamai Production Edge Network.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with other team members, QA Engineers, and Product Management teams
• Configuring and verifying Akamai SDN software in production clusters
• Designing, developing, and maintaining tools to measure, analyze, and characterize performance, robustness, and scalability of the Akamai SDN system
• Defining and/or reviewing alerting conditions and mitigation procedures
• Working as part of a small, elite, fast-moving team to meet urgent schedules

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, another related field or its equivalent
• Have solid experience in languages such as Bash, Python or similar scripting languages in Linux/Unix environments
• Have the ability to solve complicated networking problems and possess understanding of networking concepts
• Have high motivation for hard work.
