We Are Hiring:

RN Nursing Manager

Department:  Medical Surgical 

Schedule:  Full-Time, Day shift. 8:00am-4:30pm. 5, 8-hour shifts. 40 hours per week. 

Location: Ascension St. John Broken Arrow

 

The Med-Surg unit provides care for a wide variety of patients with medical conditions, the need for telemetry, or surgical procedures

St. John Broken Arrow, opened in 2010, is a six-story, 44-bed hospital.  St. John Broken Arrow offers a wide range of healthcare services, including emergency care, orthopedic services, sports medicine, a regionally renowned joint replacement center, general surgery, cardiology, outpatient services and all-digital diagnostic imaging services. A 100,000-square-foot medical office building connects to the hospital.

What You Will Do:

Manage activities, workflow and nursing resources of assigned nursing unit(s).

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit.
  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
  • Monitor and adhere to budget.
  • Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with experience required.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience required.
  • 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
