Requirements:

  • RN License (BSN degree preferred, or currently working towards)
  • National Certification as Addiction and/or Psychiatric Mental-Health nurse or to obtained within 12 months of hire

Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience (1-2 years preferred)
  • Experience in the addiction/mental health field (1 year preferred)
  • Utilization management and managed care experience (preferred)
  • CPR/First Aid certificate 
  • Mandatory Reporter Child and Adult within 90 days of hire
  • CPI certification or within 90 days of hire
  • Adequate written skills to accurately complete required documentation within the time frames prescribed
  • Practical Understanding of substance use disorders and symptoms in the DSM 5
  • Familiar with conducting clinical assessments
  • Desire to work with clients in a residential team oriented substance abuse setting.
  • Ability to learn and work independently to complete documentation in automated software system
  • Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources
  • Bi-lingual skills (preferred).

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • The two nurse managers supervise the organization, training, and delivery of quality professional centralized nursing services across Rosecrance Jackson Centers programs
    • Ensure nursing processes are completed in accordance with nursing standards for the organization, credentialing body and state licensing regulations.
    • Collaborates closely with other Nurse Manager and Medical Director/Assistant Medical Director to help provide overall quality integrated addiction supportive medical and psychiatry services including safe and excellent medication use and handling practices.
    • Participate actively as a member of the clinical team.
    • Promote the integrated multi-disciplinary team concept throughout the programs and the organization.
    • Maintain professional, personal, and emotional balance through continuous self-examination, supervision and feedback.
    • Participate in teaching, training, mentoring, and monitoring program staff to ensure a safe and structured patient milieu.
    • Mange nursing, medical clerk and provider team schedules, including on-call schedules, for the programs to ensure appropriate coverage, providing direct patient nursing care as needed.
    • Monitor and reporting infection control issues and participate in Environment of Care Team at RJC
    • Assist Nurse Manager/Medical Director/Assistant Medical Director with policy and procedure review and implementation.
    • Participate and conduct regular ongoing team meetings.
    • Work closely with access teams to evaluate medical and admission needs of referrals per the admission criteria guidelines , elevating to Medical Director/Assistant Medical director as needed.
    • Work with all residential and outpatient programs to support nursing and health services needs for patients.
    • Assure training, and certification as needed for all medical/lab testing and procedures.
    • Assume any additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Schedule: 8 hour shifts

    • Monday-Friday; 8:30am – 5:00pm
