Job Summary

 Trimble is offering a full-time position for a professional with high precision GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) , geomatics, or geodesy to join our team in Westminster, CO, USA.  You will focus on the automotive industry and work on international projects. You will cooperate with Trimble colleagues at other subsidiaries, e.g. in the US, Europe, Asia. You’ll enjoy working as an integral part of the team of experts which manages and monitors the operational networks that deliver Trimble’s unprecedented global real-time service Trimble RTX™. RTX is a subscription-based GNSS correction streaming service delivered via internet or satellite broadcast and which enables our automotive customers to do precise GNSS positioning.

You will be responsible for the Trimble RTX™ Services globally and will work closely with a highly motivated, international team of system operators located in Munich, Germany, Perth, WA, Australia, and Westminster, CO, USA. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting key customers in the automotive and other industries. 

Key responsibilities:

  •  Monitoring, maintenance, and improvement of the Trimble RTX™ service 

  • Working closely with the functional areas like Trimble automotive and development

  • Acting as technical point of contact for key customers in the automotive and other industries

  • Conducting internal technical trainings, representing Trimble RTX™ technology

  • Provide 3rd level support and in-depth analysis for escalated customer cases. 

Required skills & experience:

  • University degree in information technology, computer science, geodesy, geomatics or a related engineering discipline

  • Two or more years of experience working in a technical environment 

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong skills and ability to solve technical complex problems 

  • English language proficiency (C1 level).

Preferred / nice-to-have experience:                                    

  • Experience with Trimble or other brand GNSS hard- and software

  • Experience in GNSS corrections and positioning, preferably in the automotive industry

  • Knowledge of satellite broadcast communications

  • Experience in cloud IT (AWS, Azure), virtualization (VMware)

  • Experience with cooperation platforms like Google Workspace

  • Other languages like German, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Chinese
